We are happy to share with you stories of young peacebuilders from around the world to celebrate the International Youth Day. These courageous young men and women tell us their stories, challenges and opportunities, as well as their hopes for the future. This platform is for youth to tell their story, own their story and to take leadership in finding solutions to build sustainable peace in their communities.

Interpeace recognizes the importance of adopting youth-centered approaches, rather than merely collaborating with young people. Currently, Interpeace’s Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) initiative span many country programmes, including those in Guinea-Bissau, Burkina Faso, Côte d'Ivoire, Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, Yemen and the Great Lakes Region.  Interpeace has also provided a platform to empower youth to shape academic discourse in peacebuilding through the "Outside the Box: Amplifying youth voices and views on YPS policy and practice."
