Enhancing Leadership in Peacebuilding: 2nd Senior Level Peacebuilding Course 31 October 2010 - 03 November 2010.

Although the body of knowledge about peacebuilding is growing, a lack of clarity about what makes peacebuilding effective persists. Similarly, considerable knowledge exists on leadership, but fails to permeate in the peacebuilding field.
Leaders in peacebuilding will come together at the end of October for 4 days to enhance their understanding of effective peacebuilding and leadership.
Participants will include: those in senior positions in a national government, parliament, a governmental institution, or commissions; influential actors from institutions or movements such as NGOs, trade unions, women’s groups, media outlets, business associations or professional associations; senior peacebuilding actors from traditional or religious structures or networks; and senior personnel in intergovernmental organisations such as the UN, African Union, Organisation of American States, ASEAN, European Union that are directly engaged in political, civil affairs, peacekeeping, and peacebuilding missions or tasks.
