Scott M. Weber joins European Institute of Peace Advisory Council

“The European Institute of Peace will further enable Europe to be a pioneer in the field of peace. This is an exciting visionary initiative of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Sweden and Finland, Carl Bildt, and Alexander Stubb, respectively. I look forward to help shape the future of the European Institute of Peace,” says Scott M. Weber, Director-General of Interpeace, on accepting the position on the Advisory Council.

The European Institute of Peace was launched in 2010 by the Finnish and Swedish Foreign Ministers. Its Advisory Council is composed of members of different European organizations working in the field of peacebuilding and conflict resolution.

MediatEUr, the European Forum for International Mediation and Dialogue has been entrusted to set up the framework to create a European Institute of Peace (EIP).
