Interpeace Advisory Team (IPAT)

Building peace is a complex, long-term process filled with challenges. Even when we have the best analysis, translating the right insights into impact can be hard to achieve.

IPAT was created in 2013 by Interpeace to respond to an increasing demand from international and national actors wishing to benefit from the organisation’s experience and know-how for improving the impact of their peacebuilding strategies, policies and processes.

We provide strategic advising and capacity strengthening services, that combine Interpeace’s local peacebuilding knowledge with the latest international thinking to help our clients gain new knowledge, new skills, and improved know-how.

Our Senior Peacebuilding Advisers and Associates work with each individual and/or team to select the right approaches to learning, analysis and design to help them achieve their goals. We focus on understanding the dynamics between all stakeholder groups, to uncover challenges and opportunities for peace that could otherwise be overlooked, and work with stakeholders to make strategic use of such new insights to create inclusive and effective strategies, policies and processes.
